Myth #10. The only way to reduce triglycerides and small dense LDL is to eat low carb

REBUTTAL: There are a variety of ways to do this.
1) A low carb diet that is high in saturated fat diet from grain fed meat and dairy.
2) A low carb diet that is also low in saturated fat from grain fed meat and dairy. Pasture fed meat, nuts, fish, coconuts and canola oil are healthy substitutes for grain fed meat and dairy.
3) A low fat diet, low in sucrose and fruit juice, high in complex carbohydrates plus fish or fish oil. According to the following study this is even more effective than a high saturated fat diet in reducing triglycerides.

"A low-fat, high-complex carbohydrate diet supplemented with long-chain (n-3) fatty acids alters the postprandial lipoprotein profile in patients with metabolic syndrome."
